Nutrition Therapy
If you’re like my clients, you are hard-working, intelligent, and passionate, and yet you find that food is taking up way too much space in your life. You’re in a constant tug of war with yourself. You’re thinking about food all the time but not deriving much pleasure from it. There are rules about what you “can” and “can’t” eat, and you feel scared to give yourself true permission to eat what you actually want.
We start this process by reviewing your history and developing an understanding of the factors that have shaped your current struggles. We then set manageable goals together that help you move closer to feeling better with food. We’ll certainly speak about your actual food intake to make sure you’re meeting your needs, but we’ll also dig deeper into the stories you’re holding onto and find ways to challenge your current narrative.
I recommend starting with weekly sessions so we can form a strong base for this work together. I will also collaborate with other members of your team - your therapist, psychiatrist, primary care doctor, etc. - to provide you with the best support.
